      Fedora 17, the Beefy Miracle, has been released and squeezed onto our latest cover disc, along with the also-just-released Mint 13. Red Hat has clarified its position on UEFI. Carmageddon Reincarnation is coming to Linux, and Valve has confirmed Steam is coming to Linux in 2012. And don't forget, there's a new Humble Indie Bumble, featuring Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Bastion. Get it now! Finally, Microsoft is now supporting Linux on its Azure cloud platform, but not if you want Red Hat.

Further to the open ballot: one thing was really missing from the whole controversy, so I'm glad that I can reveal this exclusively made-up story, that one of the lead Gnome developers actually uses MATE as his preferred desktop environment.
