To be honest, you should realise that these 'mods' write a magazine as well, I have never done it but looking at loads of posts a day and compiling a magazine.....ain't gotta be easy..huh?
I ask a question, nobody replies for days. I complain and instantly I get flamed, whined at, given excuses for why people can't do their job and now this. A suckup. I couldn't care less for the workload of the employees at Linux Format. I certaintly pay for the mag, and it sure aren't cheap. They get *paid* for doing this work, so who cares if it's easy or not.
If they haven't got the resources to start a Forum and follow it up, then don't start it at all. If you can't do it thoroughly then don't do it all.
Now please suckup a little to me too. I have no Mod power, but I'm good with words. Maybe I can write you something nice the next time.
Your friend for life,

Mods help those who help themselves.
You've had several requests for information. Those weren't made simply to pass the time, but to try and find the cause of your problem. If you do not provide thatinformation, it is unlikely anyone will be able to help you.
In addition, you claim to have solved the problem but refuse to pass on that information for anyone else that may need it. it seems you want everyone to fall over themselves to help you, but are unwilling to give anything back.
If I could help myself I wouldn't need your help. And try to remember that you are dealing with your customers not your Forum users. It's a different approach alltogether.
I was working on providing the information you have requested until I recieved the latest magazine. And what do you know, the DVD is Suse 9.2 noch einmal, but *with* the 64 bit code included this time. Sweet. So instead of working with the last coverdisk, I'll now try the new one instead, and if theres problems ahead, I'll just open a new thread on that disk instead.
Regarding your last section. First, I've asked you for the solution, which actually is copying the text from the magazine, and you haven't done it yourself yet. I now have the magazine, and I fail to see why I *have* to copy the text to the forum just because I asked someone else to do it. If anyone have the same problem, i.e. misplacing the magazine, they will find the solution here: There is no solution, noone can be bothered with copying the text onto the forum. Too bad. Secondly I have already given something back, and that is buying your magazine and by that ensuring that you have a job. So if you could start to treat me like a customer, I'll consider buying more magazines. You are not my Moderator, and I am not your user. You are an employee of a magazine I buy, and you want me to be happy with your magazine and the job you do, so that I'll buy the next one. Your coverdisc and written solutions din't work in the last issue. That is not my fault, and I'm not recieving what I've payed for.
I challenge you to find a 64bit machine and follow your exact instructions from issue 53. Please keep me informed of the progress.

whats your beef?
you have been replied to by the guy that compiles the disks and he asked you to post more information which you haven't done.
I realise that English is not your first language but the way you are asking questions does make it hard for any of us to understand!
Any posts giving advice or help are from volunteers giving their time and expertise for free, so please don't abuse us.
I still don't quite understand either of your posts even after looking at them and the magazine in question
Dick
My english is, as is common with people learning a second language, often better and more grammatical correct than what you usually expect of the native english speaking. However, you will be able to find several errors, misspellings and other details to pick at if your purpose in life is to flame my posts. That includes this one, so get at it boy and impress me with your skills.
I wager that my english is quite understandable and so is my two posts. If you are having severe problems with understanding the questions I so humbly try to ask, I find blaming my english a cheap excuse for your actual lack of intelligence. I suggest you re-read the posts and ask your parents for help in decoding the messages. I'm sure that by combining the efforts of your entire family, you might summon enough brain capacity to grasp the outer lines of my problem. While you're at it, see if you can find a solution to the mounting problem.
Yours sincerely,
f.

I'm not sure what exactly you were expecting?
You wanted someone to respond faster than you could search for the answer yourself, because you misplaced the magazine?
Sorry, but you've been getting plenty of help with your problems...
I'm obviously referring to my other post regarding the coverdiscs. If you'd please take some time to think before you pollute the forum with your useless babble, maybe you'd avoid looking like a complete moron the next time you force upon us your intensely uninteresting point of view.
My best wishes,
f.
