Problem With networking

Normally in windows, when i am burning a dvd i can use an ISO from my other windows computer on a network, well why cannot i do this on cd burning app on linux, do i have to configure something up?

You can do it. You just need to mount the folder/directory the file is in. Your Windows setup I assume is using shares? In Linux you need to share and mount folders just the same. Check out Samba for Windows/*nix sharing or NFS.
