KeePassX does not autotype on LXF Forums log in page

I have been working through KeePassX setting things up and all was fairly good until I tried with LXF forums log in page.
The autotype facility cannot be coaxed into doing its thing. I have googled the problem but not found anything specific enough.
It's not a major issue but the autotype works so elegantly it would be a joy to have it function on all sites.
