Love my DamnSmallLinux but I really can't take it anymore.
What I want, maybe **NEED** is a better word, is a LIVE-CD
with an up-to-date browser which works with older hardware.
512 meg and even an old pentium **OUGHT** to be enough
to send an E-mail, or post to a forum. IF I can view YouTube
vids great. This hadn't ought to be rocket science fellas!
It has to come from a magazine-
I visit friends. Pop a cd into their machine and sometimes open
a whole new world for them. They don't want to UNGzip, compile,
or basicly pullout the linux toolbox to install something.
to demo Linux, it has to load fast (ie, be small) and have some basic
features, or seamless downloadable binaries available.
I might make a comment here also, but please take it with
a grain of salt. Some of the names given to programs offend some
of my friends. Myself, I think it's sort of funny... but then, they
don't know many computer types.
I stick some humungus DVD in their system and reboot
and it starts taking up too much time is scares the <-----> out of em.
