Ubuntu on tablets

Postby Clement » Fri Jun 08, 2012 1:26 pm

I've been watching

https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... rch_result

the `Ubuntu installer paid' on Google Play. This seems to show Ubuntu
working fully (running gimp, etc) on a Transformer Prime.

Can this be right? Is it really possible to run Ubuntu, or other distros,
on a tablet more or less as on a desktop? (Say the asus transformer prine.) Or is there maybe a catch?

I've been using linux for 10+ years but never seen a tablet in use with linux :(

Thanks in advance ...

"Ubuntu on tablets"

I have been on tablets for a number of years (mainly for blood pressure) and I find no problem running Ubuntu...other than the usual "age related comprehension problems".
Oh, sod it.
