Music and the Creative Commons

Postby Rhakios » Thu Dec 20, 2007 7:21 pm

CASH is a project for anyone who likes the music of Kristin Hersh (who has performed and released CDs under her own name and as part of Throwing Muses and 50FootWave) and might be of interest to those who would like to see more works released under a Creative Commons licence.
You can get the music and associated lyrics and artwork as a free download. Pro Tools mix stems used in creating the music are also available for download for those who might have some musical talent, or at least an interest in seeing what they can do. A donation is optional.
It seems that there will be future releases from other artistes as well, and at some point it will be opened to anyone who wants to release their music in the same way.

Edit: I should have mentioned that those who wish to subscribe may do so, but the level of contribution/involvement is left up to the individual.
