Keyboard/mouse not powering off after upgrade to wheezy

Postby deane » Wed Mar 26, 2014 9:20 am

My partner's keyboard and mouse are no longer powering off fully on shutdown after upgrading from Debian squeeeze to wheezy. It also exhibits the same behaviour under the latest linux mint (16).
We've disabled the wake on xxx features under the bios - although personally I don't think that's the issue, given that the bios is in the same state as it was when it did shut down correctly under Debian squeeze.
The strange thing is, when it goes to sleep the keyboard and mouse lights go off completely!

How the heck do I get this to shut off correctly? Do I have to check the kernel parameters and set it to use lapic instead? If so, how exactly do I do that, and can it be tested temporarily by editing the line in grub for a single boot?
