Wireless phone for VoIP (i.e. Skype)

Postby wawrzek » Mon Sep 08, 2008 10:34 pm

I looking for a way to use VoIP but through cordless phone. If I'm right I can
a) buy USB phone
b) use normal phone with some kind of connection (SIP)

I tired a) but it didn't work (see http://larryn.blogspot.com/2008/09/cordless-usb-phone-not-working-with.html)

So I'm thinking about b). Could you suggested any working hardware?

Could you be also so kind and ensure me how it works. Can I choose which line (standard or Skype/Ekiga/...) I'm using? Do I need any special software?

Of course you don't need to describe everything here links are fine. To many results in google can be a problem if you are not sure what you are looking for...

In my point of view, you should go to visit your mother because there you can get the answer of your question and also can get a phone for VoIP services.
