I was sure I had a swap partition - this thing was originally set to "auto install". Sure enough, as root I fire up parted and see...
- Code: Select all
Information: The operating system thinks the geometry on /dev/hdb is
77545/16/63. Therefore, cylinder 1024 ends at 503.999M.
Disk geometry for /dev/hdb: 0.000-38166.679 megabytes
Disk label type: msdos
Minor Start End Type Filesystem Flags
1 0.031 99.914 primary ext3 boot
2 99.914 37910.742 primary ext3
3 37910.742 38166.679 primary linux-swap
...also funny it should be detecting as hdb instead of hda methinks.
The result is I can't update from the CD-ROMs as it gives up saying there's no swap partion.
Anyone know of a remedy?
