i have a friend who has an Hitachi CML174SXWB mointer that uses a dvi connection, originally he wanted to use the lastist mandriva linux (ltd 2005) but for some reason didnt pick up his mointer so has had to settle with Fedora Core 4, which as we know doesnt like to read NTFS file systems unless you patch it which is a pain itself.

does anyone know where he could find drivers or patches for his mointer so he can use it with mandrake/mandriva linux i would be very greateful and will pass on the information to him (or at least show him this post lol)

I found this: http://tinyurl.com/aczmk which, I would imagine, is similar. If you take the refresh rates from here and pass them to the X setup regime of whatever distro, the display should just work

Instead of patching the Fedora kernel you could just download the NTFS kernel module RPM.
