Slackware 12.1 has been released.
Find a mirror near you, or better yet, get leeching and seeding
It's not to everyone's taste, it's not going to break any records for innovation and bleeding edge technology.
It's effectiveness, imho, is down to using proven software in a tried and tested structure without much extra fluff.
