Hi, right my situation is quite complex and as I'm now off work for wedding type stuff I don't have time to solve it on my own.

We have 2 servers running gentoo as web servers (round robin LVS) with a nfs server as file server (it was 3 but 1 burnt out). The PHP sessions are stored in a subdir on the NFS server. I have just added a fedora machine from another cluster to this one and sessions are screwy. It seems that on the Fedora server the owner permissions are 81:500 (apache:apache) and on the gentoo the owner permissions are 48:48 (doesn't refer to anything in the gentoo passwd).

Anyone have any ideas of how I can change the UID:GID on PHP sessions in either Fedora or Gentoo? I can't find a setting anywhere and kinda praying it doesn't mean a recompile.

OK, I am a dumb ass (or just way over tired from staying up with the kids).
The 2 Gentoo servers had the apache user set to a different UID:GID to the fedora one. Something I should have thought of straight away, all fixed now.
