If you ever wanted to see what the web has on you, type in your name as a keyword in any of the search engines.

I have done just that on Google, Yahoo, Ask.com and Dogpile. Using only my last name as a keyword, by website, Cybernightlife came up at the top of the list at Google, Ask.com and Dogpile, and came up number three at Yahoo!.

In addition, more than half of my recent entries came up in the top ten entries on each of the search engines.

As a website promotional tool, this is one way to get at the top of the list in the search engines.

Just wanted to share this interesting tidbit.

i just get my posts in forums and my real name doesn't get anything, my wife is on the first page when she googles herself as she has something to do with nhs things Cool

Hmm, mostly I get a photographer, some youngish bloke who seems to have profiles on pretty much every networking site available, an unrelated, dead American and, just occasionally, myself.

My nickname- 10,800( most of them me-sad or what?)
My name-4,180,000 ! (most of them someone else, I hope)

I have a couple of other nicks I have used over the years, but they have usually been abandoned when I found someone else had been using them for a while.
