Install LFX67 coverdisk

Postby bookfind » Sat Jul 09, 2005 9:37 pm

The Mandriva install was easy but I can't login because the keyboard is substituting numbers for some numbers. bookfind comes out b66zf7nd.
THis is my first go at Linux and I need help.

Do you have NUMLOCK turned on ? If so, turn it off - it sounds like Mandriva thinks you have a laptop keyboard where some of the letter keys double up as a number pad when numlock is on (although I've no idea where the z instead of k is coming from).
Hope this helps,

Nigel.

Well, I looked in every keyboard layout I have diagrams for, none of them map 'z' to 'k'. You didn't click something like Ukraine instead of UK or anything did you?

Ha ha, that would be funny if all the "1337 d00dz" just started writing like that because of badly configured keyboard maps
