My current plan for the future is to become a math's teacher when the kids get a bit older. When I was younger, beards were compulsory for programmers and math's teachers, so I guess i'll have to grow another one when the time comes. How many folks here have beards? _________________ This signature has been produced using traditional writing methods on behalf of The Campaign For Real Slogans.

I had one for a while when I was in the navy, just because I could. _________________ I cannot deny anything that I did not say. |

I have had a beard since I was 18, it started off as a full beard, and has shrunk to a goatee over the years. _________________ The sig between the asterisks is so cool that only REALLY COOL people can even see it!

I'm not quite ready for a full beard yet, so it's a regularly trimmed thin-beard. I've seen enough bad goatees to make an itv2 documentary, presumably approaching it from the other side yields better results? _________________ This signature has been produced using traditional writing methods on behalf of The Campaign For Real Slogans.

I've had a full beard since I was 19. It hasn't shrunk but it the colour does appear to have faded in the sunlight _________________ Unix is user-friendly. It's just very selective about who it's friends are. |

| I think I'm destined to have a beard. I have one of those 5-minutes-later-stubble beards like Homer Simpson. |

I've got a small goatee, had it for a couple of years now.. I can't remember when exactly I'm not a fully-fledged programmer, but a scripter. Does that count? _________________

Maybe there's a subconscious scale. Scripts:Goatee <-> C++:Full-Beard
Is there anyone here who uses assembly? Do people ask if you were in ZZ Top? _________________ This signature has been produced using traditional writing methods on behalf of The Campaign For Real Slogans.

Don't go out in a high wind or those whiskers will get blown away
I've grown and shaved off all manner of beards and had some stuck on when there wasn't time to grow one _________________ still looking for that door into summer |

Well, I have a beard but none of the options fit me. I have a BSc in Biology, a subject where beards are almost as popular as they are among Geologists, but I didn't grow mine until I was about 25; then again, up till then I wasn't exactly mad-keen on shaving either _________________ Bye, Rhakios |

Mine never makes it beyond the itchy stage, after a few days it HAS to be shaved off before I kill someone, or set myself on fire from friction scratching.
mmm.... I'm starting to really doubt my Slacker credentials, I'm going to have to go recompile something with --without-arts just to feel better. _________________ I think, therefore I compile |

I've been a programmer for in excess of a quarter of a century, and never had the urge to grow a beard. But I've had a fair few colleagues who have... and some of them have been men |

Oh just learn to smoke a pipe, or at least get one to chew on. Your adept pipe smoker will get by filling the bowl only once a day and it will be lit for hardly any of that time, so it's not much for others to object to. _________________ Bye, Rhakios |
