antivirus distro

Postby firefox » Wed May 25, 2005 5:47 pm

I have a friend who is running WinME which has subsequently become so badly infected with viruses/spyware that it won't boot properly. Can anyone recommend a bootable linux distro that includes a virus scanner that could remove enough of the viruses to get it going again?

Most Norton Antivirus CDs are bootable for just this sort of problem...
Hope this helps,

Nigel.

You need the "Ultimate Boot CD" which has AntiVir installed along with Ad-Aware etc ... is a windows implementation, you build it from an original Win install disk using BartsPE
