Story here. It's another development release, for those who are interested. You might find it a bit hard to get hold of until things have quietened down a little.
Edit: Actually, this is quite old news. I couldn't get on scribus.org.uk, but found the story on scribus.net. It seems that the org.uk domain hasn't been updated recently, otherwise I might have spotted this story last month
The only reason I checked around was because when one cannot get on to the scribus site, it is usually because there has been a release of a new version and the site is overloaded. _________________ Bye, Rhakios |

It's nice. It may be development, but it's good and stable, and is now "standard" in PCLinuxOS. _________________

It's one of the advantages of running a bleeding edge system, I get an email every morning telling me which installed packages have updates _________________ Unix is user-friendly. It's just very selective about who it's friends are. |

Oh and you just decided to wait until 6:46PM then. Rotter! You must have noticed I don't get to look at anything until I get home from work and decided to slip your post in a little over a quarter of an hour before I was going to post. _________________ Bye, Rhakios |

Nearly all of that gets deleted on the server when I download, the rest usually ends up in the wastebin. I have very severe filters _________________ Bye, Rhakios |

| Well I'm on Scribus 1.3.2 still and trying to use it properly for the first time to build a newsletter. I'm hoping you two scribus fans can help me. I have looked at the documentation and Wiki FAQ. I can't work out why it will not paste text I have copied from Firefox into a text frame. I have tried Edit/Paste and Ctrl-V. When I try these commands the text box just flashes once stays the same. |

The only problem I have had with pasting into a text box in Scribus from another app seemed to have more to do with klipper than scribus. I needed to copy, then click on the klipper icon and select the copied text in the dialog above, then it would copy into scribus with a middle mouse click or ctrl+v. _________________ Bye, Rhakios |

| Thanks Rhakios. It took me a moment to find the Klipper, but that works for me too. |

My understanding is that you use 1.2.5 if you want copper-bottomed super stability. 1.3.x is an unstable branch, but there are many new features, they have decided to "stick" at 1.3.3 and work on debugging it, whilst 1.3.4 and upwards will be more experimental with new features being tried out for inclusion in 1.4 when it arrives.
Though when I read it back to myself I'm not sure if I've explained it very well! _________________
