Looks like someone thought they'd catch the admins dozing on the weekend - foiled again! _________________ Bye, Rhakios |

Its a shame there are lamers like the "Guest" poster around, Admins should disable guest posting imho. else it'll just carry on. _________________ Alex A. Smith

Banning guest posters would also reduce the usefulness of the site.
I wonder if there's a way to block guest posting from IP address ranges. _________________ Unix is user-friendly. It's just very selective about who it's friends are. |

Will it even make a difference? What with services like anonymizer around. |

Are these people intelligent enough to use anonymizer services? _________________ Unix is user-friendly. It's just very selective about who it's friends are. |

| For guest posting there should be the image re-typing procedure (can't remember the proper name for it) where a series of numbers and letters are presented as an image and need to be typed out exactly by the poster before it is submitted. |

How? and in what way.
If guest posting was banned then it would tidy up genuine posters who forget to login or if there browser fails to log them in.

Wasn't guest posting disabled on the old site? _________________ Alex A. Smith

| On some of the forums, yes. IIRC you could post to 'help' as a guest but not to the other ones. |
