The "bird-flu" scandal!

Postby bigjohn » Thu Apr 06, 2006 9:33 pm

So they now say that we officially have our first case of "bird-flu"! :o

But have we :?:

All this about bird-flu in Scotland today, but I believe that it might have been here before today!

Take, for example, an apparently healthy man, late middle aged (65), who happens to be visiting the UK, but all of a sudden if found inexplicably dead in a Cardiff hotel room.

Yes! even though all the stuff about the bird-flu today and missing link dinosaur discoveries yesterday, but ...........

Did Gene Pitney, singer, songwriter - die from bird-flu ????? :o

I think that we should be told.

p.s. Oh and the first thing that crossed my mind when the bird-flu news hit the streets, was that I wonder how long it will be, before we see the first "buy 1, get 10 free" offers for chicken in the supermarkets ! I can't wait. For 1p per kilo, I'm quite prepared to live on nothing but chicken for the rest of my life

Because the people who print the books all caught bird flu and died?

Is this dead swan a threat to the nation's literacy then? We should be told!

What if I wanted to go to Borders to get a copy of Wild Swans?

If it's as bad as they say, you won't need many

Perhaps we could have a competition to see how many nested layers of quotes this forum will support.

Work tends to have that effect on people.
