Hi im new to linux and so i brought the latest DVD mag with MANDRIVA LINUX LE 2005 Distro on it. i was just wondering because i already have XP Home (can preinstalled) and i need it for my programming course (Namely VB studio 6.0 lol). does the installation create a patition for Linux to live in or do i have to do that my self. If so how? I do not have a floppy disk drive on my computer (had no need for it) could you guide me in the right direction.

The installer takes care of resizing your Windows partition and creating the Linux partitions.
