Some might be interested in this little snippet I wrote.

Rather than upload the whole here I decided to point you to

It is a bash script that generates large characters for an at glance
digital clock DEMO.

This idea might be included for a DC voltmeter to run alongside
the AudioScope.sh code using an Arduino. I already have a
working voltmeter for the Macbook Pro and Arduino but no large
characters yet...
