16600 - level 3. The idea is to get away with as few points as possible isn't it? AMD Sempron 2400+ 512Mb RAM crappy SiS760 shared memory laptop video. Seemed to go ok for me.
Just did a highly scientific test, comparing my laptop on Ubuntu and a Dell 1Ghz 512Mhz desktop running Win2000 with crappy onboard Intel 4Mb(!) graphics - speed of man running from left to right was a *tiny* bit faster on the laptop. this obviously proves nothing as the two machines are completely different specs... :-)

Current leader is Lejon on 58260. Can't you guys do better than a seven-year-old?

I notice the site admins have declined to take the challenge. I suppose it's so nobody accuses them of of playing at work!

Spotted this thread and thought I'd have a go. Which has just proved that I've got something wrong with my setup - I can't make it do any of the keyboard movements after the games loaded.

Any ideas where I need too look ??

Is your numlock on? Sounds daft but I'm using a laptop with a wireless keyboard attached. When the numlock's on, the cursor keys didn't work for me either!

This is exactly what happened to me. Nothing seems to happen for a while after game the loads, but keep your finger on the arrow and it starts to move in slow motion. Hence my initial post and the thrashing I received. I did much better after re-booting into Win98 on the same box.

I know linuxgirlie is a Mandrake user, but the other folks who experienced problems did not say which distros they are running. In any case, it does not seem to be an issue with any particular distro. Hence my conclusion of poor flash implementation on Linux. I don't think we could all have mis-configured X at the same time!

BTW, nice to see you here, linuxgirlie. I thought you were ignoring me! :-)

Ditto. On Ubuntu with Firefox, the character wouldn't respond for about 10 seconds...

Grr :-) I'm trying to think of some games I can definitely beat Paul at this weekend. I didn't bring any consoles when I moved -- how I wish I could take my SNES round and show him who's boss :-)

I had that problem for while, try highlighting some text elsewhere in the page then clicking back on the flash box and hitting enter. Seemed to work for me, alternatively it could just be coincidence :D

Mr Saunders, I have an elderly MegaDrive (and even a master system) up in the attic gathering dust. If that will help you on the Mr Hudson game thrashing front let me know, and I might consider lending it to you...

One other thing, just tried it on my desktop (also running Ubuntu Firefox) and got the same non-functioning keys. Right mouseclicking and then choosing settings, then exiting the settings dialogue seemed to do for me.

You can get a bigger version if you go straight to the flash file and avoid all that other crap around the screen :)

Still not very good, best about 42,000 :|
