hi guys, i have now gone all in with linux mint on my laptop (i lost my recovery partition) i didn't notice when i was using windows as well but the battery never seems to charge up?? it says "battery discharging" but never gets any more charge than zero
anyone got any ideas of a remedy as my leg is on fire cos its well hot when it's plugged in Embarassed

i deleted this post because it suddenly showed that the battery was 100% charged,now it's back to zero and i haven't unplugged it???

How old is the battery Paul it's quite likely that it's past due for replacement.I fear that it is the same issue you posted about before.

yo it's about three weeks old and it works ok this morning i've been going an hour after i just unplugged it and the battery still says 70%, apparently it's a linux mint(ubuntu) i have looked online and loads of people have the same problem but no one has a solution i thought one of you linux experts might have some killer skills and have a script change or summat??

then it just died again about ten seconds later it normally lasts 2 + hours in windows and i was only surfing???

If it's distro-specific, change distros - at least until a fix is found.
