Hi, new to posting on this forum.
I purchased an Acer Aspire X1440 as it states that it is compatable with Linux although loaded with Windows7.
I have been trying to load Mint12 from coverdisk154 to dual boot. It loads the Index but hangs when Distribution is selected with a blank screen and top-left flashing cursor.
When trying to load System Rescue Disk it stops at Loading modules ...
The BIOS is P01-A02.
Any help please to get a dual boot. |

| Sorted. Got a refund from Curry's after resetting to Factory Settings. Thanks to any one who was thinking about this. The machine seemed to block the loading of any other OS. I expect that there will be more problems like this in the future. I'll stick with old machines or self-build for the time being. |
