How about the OpenOffice.org source code on the discs for those of us using (B)LFS??

We have included the source in the past, but it is big and most people don't want it. Compiling it is something of a black art, not to mention the time it takes[1]. even Gentoo recommend using the binary installer for most people.

[1] I recently compiled 1.1.4 on my 1.2GHz G4 iBook and it took over sixteen hours. the only reason I bothered is because earlier versions have a couple of security holes and there is no binary installer of 1.1.4 for PPC.

Absolutely no chance of it when OOo2 becomes final then?
