Is it just my hardware, or does it take hours to put xubuntu on an sd card?
Installing / to 8GB SD card, /home to 2GB SSD. eeepc 700 series (500ish mhz processor (underclocked 800mhz really), 512 MB RAM.) Installing from external DVD drive, with ethernet connection for updates. _________________ AMD PHENOM II X6, 14 GB DDR3, 500 GB hd, 1GB nVidia card, running Linux Mint 14 KDE / Win 7. Damn thing keeps breaking.
eeepc 1015PX, 1.66 Ghz Intel atom processor, 2 GB DDR3, 320 GB hd running Mint 14 MATE. Running great. |

Problem solved!
Reverse it all. Set 2G SSD as / and 8GB SD card as /home and install Ubuntu Server, followed by xorg, xfce and chromium. Working PC that's faster and with more space than the crappy Xandros it shipped with. _________________ AMD PHENOM II X6, 14 GB DDR3, 500 GB hd, 1GB nVidia card, running Linux Mint 14 KDE / Win 7.
