I am the proud new owner of a7" Android tablet and keyboard/case combi. Magic! Nearly as useable/portable as my old Psion and better screen!
But it has no text processor, let alone word processor. Just lots of "click here to sell your soul to Google" buttons - and, luckily, a relatvely unencumbered web browser.
Where can I find an independent (no data-harvesting) Android app store that isn't just an excuse to push malware. Or am I fantasising? _________________ Cheers,

I think you might be living with the fairies a little bit.
You could always write your own
I on the other hand have no problem selling my soul to google. _________________ For certain you have to be lost to find the places that can't be found. Elseways, everyone would know where it was |

Eek, you mean people pay to have their privacy violated?
At least Google are willing to do it for free. Ho-hum. Remind me not to put my credit card details into the thing.
Oh, and thanks for the replies. _________________ Cheers,

I made that mistake. Then became far too easy to buy new apps... _________________ For certain you have to be lost to find the places that can't be found. Elseways, everyone would know where it was |

If you do setup a credit/debit card with Google Play/Market Place, don't forget to set a PIN. Also the PIN is per device, so if you happen to log into someone else's phone with your google account, don't forget to set a pin there too. http://www.talkandroid.com/98577-google-play-pin-code-can-be-easily-disabled/
I am seriously considering getting a prepaid card for use with my google account (and iTunes for that matter). |
