So I have been playing around with cacti cos I'm interesting in what my servers are doing, mainly network traffic wise. That graph is pretty easy to understand.
I have these other graphs and I'm not too sure what I am looking at...
So there are some interesting spikes here, but it is all very low (I assume) so I guess all is ok here. Don't know what the M represents though...
No idea what is going on here, never really understood 'load'
Server has 2gb of ram so height of graph makes sense, but not sure what the pretty colours mean... I'm guessing that memory free is free memory, ie isn't being used, the yellow is the memory being used as a cache, and the rest is the stuff actually being used?
| Code: |
$ free -m
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 2008 1439 569 0 224 979
-/+ buffers/cache: 235 1773
Swap: 5887 0 5887

those numbers sort of tally up...
I have had a look round the cacti docs site, but can't really find any explanations. I have also had a google but nothing turned up... So a simple explanation or a pointer to one would be greatly appreciated,
