Hi,
Can someone explain to me what benefits there are to a Rocks/SGE cluster over having the same machines just in a SGE cluster?
I'm trying to build a cluster of CentOS workstations in such a way that a job sent to them using OGE/SGE is processed faster than if it was sent to an individual machine.
I already have all the machines in my office in a OGE (2011.11) grid, which is all well and good, but I want to combine (cluster) machines to improve performance.
One suggestion was to use a SSI (Single System Image) cluster using kerrighed, but I couldn't get it to compile with CentOS 5.
Any advice would be gratefully received.
