I tried Chakra using LXF DVD 155 and it seemed to live well. Then I started the installer. Unfortunately the installation froze after I formatted my hard disk. I formatted only the area were I had my previous SUSE Linux. On the same hard disk I had my Windows7 installed, but I lost it also and had to install W7 again.

But that happens Wink

Now I decided to go to Chakra Forum and ask them if they have a non-graphical (text-base) installer, because I wanted still to try again to install Chakra with its KDE 4 (SUSE KDE 4 worked reasonable in my computer).

So I tried to register myself to hakra-project.org/bbs/
But always, whatever I try, I receive the message:
Quote:
Bye bye Mr Bot

Could some gentleman here please try to register to
hakra-project.org/bbs/ so I will know I they have something against me personally Shocked

..............................
And now, they have changed the procedure and I understood it Exclamation

I also noticed that there is a newer version than 2011.12 available. I download it hoping that the installer is more friendly now Smile

What's up? Can't you access the forum to see the reply? If that's the case, here is the reply on the forum...

Hello,

Please share some more information regarding the issue:
- What media did you use to install? DVD or USB stick? If the 1st, did you check the md5sum? What application did you burn it with and at what speed? If the 2nd, again, what application did you use to copy to USB?
- At what percentage of the installation doesTribe (the installer) freeze?

Yes.

They changed the procedure and now I succeeded to register and as I told before, I presented my problem and have received some advice:
