I admin on another board, which runs phpbb version 3.0.7-PL1.
I know this is a little out of date, but I don't own the board, merely help block spammers.
My problem is that I keep getting spam accounts registering from the mail.ru domain. Site owners don't want to restrict membership through account activation, so I have to moderate a ton of posts daily.
Removing mail.ru from an option would reduce the number of spammers.
I set the board to block *@mail.ru email addresses and then pruned the users. That was 3 days ago. This morning someone managed to join with that domain. I can't find anything on the phpbb forum except for someone with the same problem unanswered.
Anyone here have any ideas?
