Has anyone used the Logitech 600 Media Keyboard?
If so does all the keys work / do they all produce a response with xev.... so they can be mapped / set as shortcuts?

Seen in the clearance bin!
My current keyboard some keys just do produce a response under Ubuntu Linux
Thanks in advance! |

I'm not sure about that keyboard, but just as another possible buy for you, yesterday I bought a new Trust Multimedia keyboard from Robert Dyas http://www.robertdyas.co.uk/P~148275~Trust+Multimedia+Keyboard and all the buttons at the top work in my Ubuntu 10.04.
By every button I mean every one of them. It is a simple cable attached multimedia USB/PS2 item and everything is working. All the preset buttons along the top, for default Media-player (startup and control of play of rhythmbox), Email, Web browser, volume up/down/mute, Suspend, Power-off, calculator, home folder, back and forward in the web-browser and file manager.
Great buy at £5.99, and quite a nice feel to it in comparison to my old cranky, creaky and very rattly keyboard. _________________ Ubuntu 10.04 user, and loving it! |

Though the keyboard will be for my PC, I might take my laptop into a shop, and see if I can try some keyboards!
The main keys I need are Vol-/+ and mute!
All other keys working would be a bonus!! |

| Just plugged one in (Mandriva 2010). Not all the extras work out of the box, but the audio ones and 'Home' do. |
