Yaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyy. Finally sorted. Went back to Firefox having used IE (well, I am at work and it's their browser), sent the confirmation code and the password's come straight back.
Wonder if this is some kind of problem with IE's page caching?

Please pass the smelling salts, LXF have actually got around to producing a new site ! 
For the record ...
My password was never sent but the username and e-mail address were in the database so I just used the lost password feature to re-send my password. Actually it twice sent me the confirmation code but I eventually got hold of my password.  |

It seems accounts 'expire' after some random timespan of inactivity. I tried logging in and got booted out, even after pretending I forgot my password. Finally decided to create a new account with the same credentials, and now it works.
Oh, I use IE on Win2k behind a firewall at work - which is where I am just now - and Mozilla on Slack 10.1 at home. |
