Well I`ve just discovered that the "Google" picture that
changes regularly is a pointer to what is relevant in that
picture...
Today`s is, (if this is the correct grammar), "The Wizard
Of Oz"...
If you double click on the image it will send you straight
to a search of the same name! :O
I know, I am an idiot for not noticing this before... :/

It's been happening for longer than that - the original "Google Doodle" was in 1999 for the Burning Man Festival. The history of Google Doodles is available here and you can access all Google Doodles here.
