|

Hi,
I'd like to get involved with open-source development. My programming skills are next to non-existent, but I would like to get involved and learn.
Is there a central place where opportunities are publicised?
Many thanks,
Chris. |

Hi
Go to http://sourceforge.net/people/ and find a project you think you may be intrested in, depending on the language you know i could do with a hand _________________ irc.ixl2.org |

Cool,
I'll have a look. As I say, I'm pretty useless at the mo, but am trying to cut my teeth with Bash scripting. I looked at Sourceforge, but must have missed the "people" bit.
Cheers,
Chris. |

Python was next on the list. What project are you working on?

Chris,
Another way of getting involved, at least if you are not a coder, is to join documentation or marketing projects.
The Fedora Project are crying out for people who are prepared to document programs etc.
Head on over to The Fedora Docs Project to find out more.
All the best,
Andy |
