Only just finished going through the speedups, fantastic adice!
Making good use of renice to sort out occasional jumps in dvb card
Firefox tweaks
Sorted PostgreSQL buffers, cache, fsync
Tuned php build
Sped up feiserfs used for just oggs and dvb recordings by adjusting fstab (noatime)

The rest of this months mag looks great, now I've got time to look at it too Smile

I have to say that this month's mag' is actually very, very good. I tend to buy both LXF and Linux Magazine with not much to choose between either in terms of quality - both are excellent. This month's LXF though really does stand out, well done to the team Smile
