Having been using a real operating system for a number of years,
my inspection exposes the false rumor that others exist.
There is a product from a small company in the state of Washington in the US. On further inquiry, it appears that the product is more of a beta testing IDE for spyware and malware developers.
Other guys in California have a product that appears to be an operating system that does cool stuff. I think it is called Apple but a better name might be WYSIWYG because tweaking, customizing and in general "looking under the hood" are out of the question.
So rest easy, there is Linux. There is nothing else.

The cool OS from California is actually called the Berkeley Standard Distribution, or BSD. And it is even more open than Linux.
Apple make CDs of the Beatles back catalogue.

If you want a testbed for malware and other broken stuff, you could always try GNU/HURD, but if asked please tell everyone I was just joking.
