does any one kno a list of graphics cards hat work with ubuntu/kubuntu......Iv tried to do a search but most of the links i find are outdated....
Just Im building a medium end gaming pc but want kubunu or ubuntu as my duel boot option and Iv bought almost every thin apart from the graphics card

They will all work. However, Nvidia drivers on Linux tend to be better.
I cannot deny anything that I did not say.

Medium end gaming...

NVidia GT430 or GT240 .. or even better GTS450

would be my choice.
