I'm all for it, that green stuff, but this might just be a bit too much...

Come to think of it, it's actually quite clever... Case-modding made easy
Can't wait for the 19" server enclosure Oh wait, we've got those already. They're commonly known as pizzaboxes

I'll give them 10/10 for ingenuity at least. But I rather doubt that many people would go to the bother of building a temporary PC in the cardboard box, and then rebuilding it at a later date in a metal box. Who are these people who buy a new motherboard and then spend ages deciding what box to put it in? _________________ Eric |

stupid idea. No'one will do it as cardboard is crap for getting rid of heat.
What they're doing is using more cardboard then what they did previously now.
Well done ASUS. _________________ Join GiffGaff and get £5 free credit |

Mini-ITX boards generate very little heat, but I had the same thought as you that it uses more cardboard. That also makes it heavier, which increases the carbon footprint of transporting it.
All in all, a rather pointless gimmick, but one that will generate a fair bit of publicity for them. _________________ "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." (Albert Einstein) |

I find this pretty ingenious. Haha, knowing me I would probably stick with that case instead of getting a "real one". That is, until it heated to cinders due to excessive computer use. Or do they supply a good fan with it?

Well done ASUS. |
That's a good idea to keep carbon out of the atmosphere. Well done Asus. Why not use Kevlar, that has much more carbon content.
What a stupid POV. Who cares what a few micro molecules is going to do to the environment?
Do you know where they get cardboard from?
Trees.
Guess why they grow trees.
Damn, I'm getting upset over 390 ppm/plant food vss 74.998:24.998 inert gas and oxygen mix again! _________________ I would very much like to be nice. If this is not your day, I am sorry about that. |
