Hi guys...

I`m in the market for a new notebook, preferably HP, and willing to
spend about 700 quid.

This dual core notebook is about 4.5+ years old and showing signs
of aging.

I would prefer Windows 7 64 bit OS and it must have ExpressCrad
facilities and be at least a "quad core".

Any suggestions from already quad core notebook users welcome.

why not get 4 cheap ones and make a cluster?

Well in my computer shopper mag the current best buy is Dell XPS17 (£699) (4gb ram, i5-460M) but that doesn't have your ExpressCard thing-a-ma-boo

Best one I can find with expresscard is Lenovo IdeaPad Z560 (£500) (2gb ram i3-350m).

So no quad cores yet. I'll have another look when I'm not falling asleep...

Infact only quad core i can find is Acer Aspire 7551G but £780... (AMD Phenom II X4 N930, 4gb) but not expresscard
