I was browsing PC World recently (simply because I was bored one day) and picked up a USB flash disk to read the system requirements (OK, I was *really* bored)
I was pleasantly surprised to read the following:
| Quote: | Windows ME, 2000, XP
Mac OS 9.0 or greater
Linux Kernel 2.4 or greater |

And out of the latest Linux Magazine I bought a couple of days ago (if I'm allowed to mention a competitor on this site!) fell an HP advertising leaflet proclaiming "HP and Linux - affordable, resilient, high-performance business solutions. For more information, visit www.hp.com/linux".

The HDD enclosure I bought recently mentioned Linux on the box, too. No instructions for Linux inside, but that's presumably because they know we Linux sorts already know what we're doing. _________________ 800 LINES ERIC - GET BACK TO PYSKOOL |

It's not too unusual, I find, that there is some brief mention of Linux on the box for a piece of hardware, but as has been observed there are no instructions inside the box. The only exception I have come across is for a PCI hardware modem, presumably because it is aimed in large measure at Linux users. _________________ Bye, Rhakios |
