Linux web server

Postby alortiz » Tue Sep 06, 2005 2:33 pm

Hi,

I'm a Linux newbie  ! Would like to know if there is a simple step-by-step guide on setting up a Linux Web Server? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Al

Depending on which distro/version you are running there should already be a fully loaded webserver running.

Put your html files in /var/www/html and open your browser and got to http://localhost/

The best, smallest and simplest web server distro I have used is YES linux. http://www.yeslinux.org . A little confussing for a newbie but still good all the same.
