Spam fun

Postby M-Saunders » Mon Jul 14, 2008 10:59 am

Lo all,

Some of you may have noticed that a couple of spammers flooded the forum yesterday and today. Of course, it's easy to purge, but if I miss something I'd appreciate it if someone could drop me a line: Mike DAWT Saunders AT futurenet DAWT com (or okachi AT gmail DAWT com at weekends/evenings!).

Cheers,
Mike

Oh, so I missed today's fun then? I can only blame work, it's obvious that I waste far too much time going there.

Work isn't that bad, it just takes so much spare time ;)

Well, I got 3 (!!) pages of 'new posts' this morning. Except one (yours :P) all spam....

You can have my night shifts, yes. ;) But perhaps my UK collegues have positions to fill ;) If that's out of your area, try another one

Is it really a good idea to have your email addresses un-obfuscated on here in plain text?

M0PHP, I'm training Google Mail's spam filter :-) But good point, I'll obfuscate them slightly...

I just had a severe shock, Mike. How can you mention spam and fun in the same breath? Not funny at all :(

Surely you haven't forgotten where the name came from? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anwy2MPT5RE
I have been touched by his noodly appendage.

Got to look on the bright side of things, even when confronted by 200 junk mail messages on a Monday morning!

Me too. I thought it was an acronym at first! :)

Sorry, I'm a bit slow at this end of the day.

Don't know about West Country. Sounds more like the ever so posh teachers at my High School. :P

Well - LXF towers is in Bath and Bath is in Zummerrrzet, so I wondered if Mike had been affected by the local lingo.

I knew a girl from Sommerset. She moved to Canada in grade 7. Nice, um...er...personalities.
I cannot deny anything that I did not say.
