Hi all,

I have successfully installed sarge. However, the fonts in kde seem to be badly antialised. I have used the control panel to to no good effect. The fonts seem to be a lot smoother in gnome - although larger.

Also how do you change the screen resolution? I only seem to have two screen sizes.

All the best.

I noticed an improvement in KDE fonts after installing xfs (X Font Server).

$> apt-get install xfs

Sorted.

It was to do with xfree86. On installation I set a couple of wrong options. In the XF86Config-4 file there is a command that I noticed could be used to reconfigure XF86Config-4 which is 'dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86'.

Ran it - changed some options - and now both the screen resolution and fonts are sorted.

Thanks for your kind help. Very Happy
