Accepted a job offer

Postby donoreo » Sat Apr 05, 2008 7:00 pm

I will now pretty much be working with Linux full time. I accepted a job offer as a Senior Systems Administrator. I will be leaving my current company after 6.5 years (two different positions, first company was purchased by the second). I will be making significantly more money (approx 54% raise, no, not missing a decimal, 54%).

Just thought I would share this. On a side note, my daughters are 20 months old today.
I cannot deny anything that I did not say.

And good luck on both too. Especially the latter ;)

I would think that the former might well help with the latter with the way things are these days. I would say good luck, but your judgement seems to be doing well enough for you at the moment. ;)

Thanks everyone. Oh, I forgot to mention that like some companies that keep a few beers in the fridge for staff they do something a little different. They have two types of beer. In kegs with taps :) This was not actually a deciding factor at all, but I thought I would mention it. I was grossly underpaid before so this raise is catching me up and then some.

The girls are going to go to the zoo today. It is the first time they are going to see lots of animals up close.

Best of luck and congratulations.

So they aren't at school yet :-P

And sometimes being grossly underpaid is a blessing in disguise-it makes it easier to move on, often to a better career path.
The sig between the asterisks is so cool that only REALLY COOL people can even see it!

Congrats. And now I need to convince Hudzilla to get an LXF fridge and stock it with beer...

Not if you are very underpaid to begin with!
