Using Fedora Core 2. When I try to ftp into my machine, I gain access, but am dumped straight away like so...

Login failed.

If I go into the host computer and execute (as root)...
[root@localhost root]# modprobe capability

Then I can get in. Apparently a certain kernel module isn't loaded or something.
What are the ways of fixing this so I don't have to do the modprobe thing?

You could stick that modprobe line in a startup script so it'd always be loaded at boot.
