i have been looking forward to getting fedora core 4 with this issue as most of the books on linux i have seen are for fedora, and i wanted to try it without the seven hour download
however it says at the back of this months mag that fedora is coming next month(probably) but as you reviewed it this month and said it was a load of rubbish, i was wondering what would be the point of giving us a crap distro(ark linux excepted) when we could have a good one instead
my real question is, is fedora as crap as you said?
nice work with kanotix though more distros like that would be welcome

Having read the review, and the subsequent comments posted on these boards, I am not sure that they are saying it is "crap", so much as that it is a disappointing release given what it could be and compared to the efforts of other distributors.
By all means give it a go 1sf (troll), we could all do with a laugh _________________ Bye, Rhakios |

Ditto
No it's not 1sf (troll) - just get the cd, stick it in the drive and give it a go for crying out loud. |

At 4:10 pm, no I'm yawning because it's yet another distro. I'm suffering from distro fatigue, at least nelz provides us with some other disc content as well.
Yes LM is Linux Magazine, I assume the others are your more usual subscriptions
Yes, you can keep Mandriva if you install Fedora, if you search the forums you will find tips on how to manage multi-boot systems. _________________ Bye, Rhakios |

motub's excellent description of a Multiboot system where she runs three thousand distros on half a gig of spare time

maybe I'm exagerating a bit, but Holly did do it, I was too idle _________________ still looking for that door into summer |
