Some posts such as this one were evidently written with the browser page set very wide.
They do not shrink on reading, so the reader with a low-res screen must constantly scroll sideways to read the wretched thing.
Can this be fixed? _________________ Cheers,

the formatting is the from original poster where he has put in ////////////////////////////// this stitching and the bulletin board can't break it, in the same way that humungeously long addresses can't be broken _________________ still looking for that door into summer |

Doesn't do it on my laptop, but the res is at 1280x800.
But towy71 is correct, strings of characters without whitespacing are difficult to work out a line wrap point, most browsers won't bother (possibly html spec). _________________ Andrew Hutchings, Linux Jedi

In my experience, Firefox wouldn't break it to the window size, but Opera would. But it is annoying, and that's because it is entrely unnecessary. Even long links can be posted easily using the board's bb code. _________________ Bye, Rhakios |

I understand the point you were making towy, and I meant that both long links and excessive ///////s are unnecessary.
In the former case, whether you use the bb code or tinyurl. _________________ Bye, Rhakios |

Using a personal stysheet can be helpfull, in those respects.
The only thing i find strange here though is that the pages seem to be a lot more weighty that before, or compared to other sites. That is, the bytes down loaded per page. Regardless of cacheing. I can't really figure why that is.
