What the Hell is it with you guys and Bill Gates/Windows. Who gives a **** about him. This is a Linux forum. I am here because I care about Linux, not because I want to slag of Windows.
I have windows XP, Windows 98, Windows ME and Windows 95, as have most of you guys.
I chose the Free operating system - Linux, (Ubuntu, actually) because it is free, and hugely configurable, and all the software is free and I don't like one **** owning so much of the world.
Would it make you feel better if Linus donated some money towards Live 8?? |

Goodness and niceness is often the lurk of scondrels, and when the bugger is a scondrel to start with ... can there be doubt.
He dosen't fool me thats for sure, like ... read the motive ...

Or is it immortality that is believed ..., ha, and again ... belief and perception is the nature of his game. And the acquisition of technologies ... and then calling them his own ... not quite inovation.
Why did MS recently try to get some concept/sw patients accepted by the NZ government patient office. Thought they could __intimidate__ a small country, ha. They put it on hold !
Yep, the gifts are real, said the whore to the tax man.

Nope, lappy and home server runs Fedora Core 4, my missus runs XP, but she will probably change as Cedega / Wine improves. My work desktops run Ubuntu and Fedora Core 3 and all of our servers run RedHat or Fedora.
Techies are a bit of a rareity in North Wales. The Amish are higher tech than us. So unfortunately I don't know any techie gals, and I don't think anyone in my LUG is female (will have to look at the sub list sometime).
I'm sure geeky gals could pull geeky guys v. easily. If I remember rightly the KDE project has a division for female developers (single geeks tak note). _________________ Andrew Hutchings, Linux Jedi

Are you promoting the show or will your partner just be selling digital cameras there?

Still, it would be interesting to see how many forum members have different versions of Windows!
How about a rollcall? |

There is a warn away XP sticker on the bottom of this laptop. Thats about it for me, I used to repair Windows machines for a living, now I have trouble using them as I have barely touched it in the last 3 years _________________ Andrew Hutchings, Linux Jedi

I have Win98 as dual OSes on my main box and laptop but they default boot into Debian and Ubuntu respectively
the laptop I use win98 because the wireless card will not work even using ndiswrapper
main machine has not booted into windows for ages (honestly can't remember) and I begrudge the1.5Gb partition, its going to have to go _________________ still looking for that door into summer

Dual boot Win XP and Mandriva - Mandiva is default.
Dont want to use XP but until I can convert to MP3 under Linux I am a bit stuck (I have a very fussy MP3 player!!).
